London, Ontario, a special place for all seasons and
tastes - the perfect combination of modern city life
and quiet natural beauty.
London has a rich history. In 1793, Lieutenant Governor
John Graves Simcoe first surveyed the Forks of the
Thames and proposed to build "New London"
here as the capital of Upper Canada. Although the
capital was eventually built elsewhere, London has
grown into the largest city in Southwestern Ontario,
and one of the loveliest cities in Canada. With miles
of beautiful pathways and acres of rolling parkland,
London truly is the Forest City. Low traffic, easy
air access and friendly people make London a perfect
place to visit.
London's vibrant downtown areas are praised by residents
and visitors alike for the shopping, dining, its forested
areas, walking trails and the Thames River. We look
forward to you making London your home too. For more
